Chris Gayle, Harbhajan Singh, Shahid Afridi feature in star-studded line-ups for Global T20 Canada 2023

The highly anticipated player draft for the Global T20 Canada 2023 took place on Tuesday night, June 14, in a hybrid format in Mumbai. Representatives from each franchise joined the event from various locations around the world, making it a truly global affair. The third edition of the GT20 league is set to kick off on July 20 in Brampton, Canada, with an enthralling league stage comprising 25 matches spread over 18 days.

The tournament features six franchises, each consisting of 16 players selected from Full and ICC Associate Member Nations. The squads are composed of six international players, including two marquee stars, four players from Associate Nations, and six Canadians. The player draft, conducted under a franchise salary cap of $579,500, unveiled a star-studded line-up of marquee players who are set to light up the tournament.
