Watch: Adil Rashid bowled Will Young with the first ball of his spell in the first ODI against New Zealand today (September 8), bamboozling him with a leg-spinning beauty to take out his off stump.

Set 292 to win at Cardiff, New Zealand had made a positive start to their chase, with a 61-run partnership between Young and Devon Conway putting them on the front foot in the powerplay. But Rashid was brought on to bowl the first over after the powerplay and struck immediately.

Rashid bowled a perfect delivery which pitched on middle, and spun away from the right-hander to hit off-stump. The ball drifted in through the air, before turning away from the bat off the pitch, completely getting the better of Young.
