Watch: Sussex debutant Bradley Currie pulled off an outrageous diving grab at the boundary ropes in the 2023 T20 Blast, being described by many as one of the greatest catches of all time.
Social media couldn’t stop gushing over Currie’s sensational effort, which, while being a piece of athletic brilliance, also helped Sussex clinch a narrow six-run win over Hampshire in their South Group match at Hove on June 16. Making the effort even more special was the fact that it was Currie’s first-ever T20.
When Tymal Mills bowled the penultimate ball of the 18th over, Hampshire required 23, with Benny Howell and Chris Wood threatening to take the game away. Mills’ delivery was swatted by Howell towards the leg-side, and looked to be flying to the deep square-leg fence. Then came Cu
