Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli has been struggling against slow left-arm orthodox spinners since 2021. Keshav Maharaj, Mitchell Santner, Shakib Al Hasan, Ashton Agar, and Dunith Wellalage have all dismissed Kohli in ODIs. He has scored only 104 runs against this type of bowling and has an average of just 13. Kohli’s recent dismissal to Wellalage in the Asia Cup Super Four clash against Sri Lanka highlighted his difficulties against left-arm spin.
