Watch: Ben Stokes hit an enormous six into the leg-side to bring up his 150 on his way to England’s highest-ever ODI individual score against New Zealand in the third ODI at the Oval today (September 13).

Stokes’ destructive innings rescued England after they slipped to 13-2 in the third over of the game. From there, Stokes and Dawid Malan combined for a 199-run partnership which took them to 212 without further loss. After taking his time to get in, Stokes reached his fifty with a four from 45 balls, but accelerated after that to reach three figures 31 balls later. It was his fourth century in the format and first since 2017.
