India’s 360-degree batter Suryakumar Yadav has revealed the origin behind his popular nickname ‘SKY’. Notably, Surya is currently preparing for the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final scheduled at the Oval in Kennington from Wednesday (June 7). The 32-year-old cricketer has been included as the reserve player in the Indian team’s squad alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mukesh Kumar.

On Friday (June 2), Surya indulged in a rapid-fire interview where he opened up about many things and even went on to reveal the identity of the person who gave him the famous nickname ‘SKY’.
