WATCH: Virat Kohli plays a reverse sweep against Ravichandran Ashwin in the nets during practice session – WI vs IND 2023
India’s star batter Virat Kohli is known for his clean strokeplay and classic shots. He is considered one of the most complete all-format batters in the world with proper cricketing strokes, and his technique has repeatedly attracted praise from many veteran and legendary cricketers.
However, the former India captain was recently seen playing a reverse sweep while practising in the nets against compatriot Ravichandran Ashwin. It is worth mentioning that the Indian team is currently in West Indies for a multi-format tour commencing with a Two match Test series from July 12.
Ahead of the first Test, the Indian players were seen sweating hard in the nets. Kohli also practised alongside others and faced four different bowling variations from different bowlers back to back.
Kohli first faced left-arm seam from Jaydev Unadakat, followed by Ashwin’s off-spin, Ravindra Jadeja‘s left-arm spin, and a local net bowler’s right-arm pace.
